GARRETT BIGGS grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. A fiction writer, his work has appeared or is forthcoming in a wide array of literary journals, including Black Warrior Review, Hayden’s Ferry Review, CutBank, Nashville Review, and The Offing, among other publications.
An M.F.A candidate at the University of Colorado Boulder, he has been named the recipient of a Summer University Recognition Fellowship, a John F. Barker Memorial Fellowship, the Robert Manford Tobin Jr. Scholarship Award, and a three year teaching appointment in Creative Writing at the undergraduate level.
He works too as an editor, where he has received experience at a number of presses including Dzanc Books, Fiction Collective 2, and Subito Press. He currently serves as managing editor of The Adroit Journal, an online literary arts magazine founded in 2010, and featured recently in The New York Times, The Paris Review, NPR, Best American Poetry, and The Pushcart Prizes.
He is currently at work on a short story collection and a novel.
